Job: Teaching Fellow in African American Civil Rights (UCL)
The UCL Institute of the Americas (UCL-IA) is seeking to appoint an exceptional scholar to take up the position of Teaching Fellow in African American Civil Rights. UCL-IA is a leading multidisciplinary specialist institution for the study of Latin America, the United States, the Caribbean and Canada. The post is available for 3 months approximately. The postholder will be required to carry out teaching, research facilitation, knowledge transfer and module administration within the Institute relating to the history of the African American Freedom Struggle and to teach on an undergraduate survey course on the making of the modern United States since 1920. Teaching will take place on Thursday and Fridays. Key Requirements The preferred candidate will have a PhD in US History with a focus on the African American freedom struggle.
