The Department of History, Classics and Archaeology (HCA) invites applications for a Lectureship in American History. We seek to appoint an outstanding scholar working on any aspect of the long twentieth century (c.1870-present). Interest in American engagement in issues stretching beyond the US and/or in teaching American history in a global context is an asset, but we are eager to consider all fields of expertise. Birkbeck College London is looking for an Associate Lecturer A to teach the first (Autumn) half of the undergraduate module “The United States in International Politics” and the first (Autumn) half of the postgraduate module “American Foreign Policy.” These are full-year modules that run from 6-8pm on Tuesday and Friday, respectively, and the candidate is expected to teach the Autumn half only (8 weeks).
