Job: Lecturer in American Literature, Fixed Term (University of Kent)
The School of English wishes to appoint a Lecturer in American Literature for one year and are seeking a colleague with experience in teaching at University level and someone who will contribute to the School’s undergraduate curriculum in American Literature by teaching seminar groups, offering lectures, and acting as a module convener for our Stage 1 core “Writing America”. The successful candidate will also be encouraged to take on some lecturing in the Centre for American Studies (CAS). This is a vibrant, collegiate department, and we look forward to appointing someone interested in collaborative teaching and thinking and working across and between disciplines. To succeed in this role you will have: A completed PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject area. Experience of successful teaching of relevant literature modules at all undergraduate degree levels.
