“Since I was appointed Assistant Editor two years ago BAAS and U.S. Studies Online has provided me with a wealth of opportunities and valuable experience. On a daily basis I am developing relationships with academics, fellow postgraduates and ECRs, organisations, and event coordinators. One of my favourite aspects of the events role is engaging with new and emerging research. Knowing that you are part of the process of disseminating this work is incredibly rewarding.” – Jade Tullett, Event Reviews editor 2014-2016
“The role of Assistant Editor has not only enabled me to make connections with publishers and other researchers but has also provided me with a supportive and friendly environment to develop my own skills. I have been incredibly impressed with the high quality writing and critical insight produced by those in the American Studies community and I am particularly grateful to all the book review contributors who have kept me busy and engaged for the last couple of years. I thank BAAS for the opportunity and Michelle, Ben, Jade and Becky for making this role, and being part of the team, a real pleasure. I look forward to seeing what is next for this truly unique platform.” – Emma Horrex, Book Reviews editor 2014-2016
