Teaching Fellow in American Literature, University of Warwick

This post is a fixed term contract until 31 August 2017.

You will undertake teaching in order to support the work of the department and develop and enhance its teaching reputation, both internally and externally. You will be responsible for teaching undergraduate modules on North American women’s writing and nineteenth century American literature and will monitor the progress of the students taught, providing timely and effective feedback on assessed work in accordance with the University’s requirements.

You will have sufficient breadth of specialist knowledge in the discipline of American literature, specifically in women’s writing and writing of the long nineteenth century, in order to enable the delivery of teaching to a level that is commensurate with what is required of a department with an outstanding reputation for both teaching and research. Candidates with interests in ethnic and racial studies are particularly welcomed, as is any experience with innovative teaching methods.

You will have previous experience of teaching at higher education level and familiarity with a variety of strategies to promote and assess learning.
