Magna Carta has left an indelible mark on American constitutionalism.  Carried to America with the first colonial charters, Magna Carta was invoked by Americans who objected to British policies on the eve of revolution.  Professor A E Dick Howard discusses Magna Carta’s legacy in America including the rule of law, constitutional supremacy, due process of law, and the idea of an organic, evolving constitution. In collaboration with Benjamin Franklin House and the US Embassy London. Read more…
