The School of Humanities and Social Science within the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies at Liverpool John Moores University is seeking to appoint a lecturer in History to this paternity cover (5 months) post.
History at LJMU is a well-established subject with a strong research profile and a score of 92% overall satisfaction in the 2015 National Student Survey. It currently comprises thirteen members of staff teaching a broad range of modules from the eighteenth century onwards and covering Europe, Russia, the Middle East, Africa, the USA and Asia. LJMU are seeking to appoint a lecturer able to teach the history of the American political system at undergraduate level, as well as contributing to other modules relating more broadly to the History programme. You should have completed a PhD in the discipline, and have teaching experience at undergraduate level.
