Applications are invited for two permanent appointments (one full-time, one 0.5) as Lecturer (below the bar) in American Literature, UCD School of English Drama and Film. Note: Successful applicants may be offered either a permanent full-time appointment or a permanent half-time appointment.It is envisaged appointments will commence 1 Sept. 2015.
The appointed Lecturer(s) (BTB) will teach undergraduate modules in some of the following areas: contemporary US fiction, modern American literature, nineteenth-century American literature, and literature of the Americas or Caribbean literature. S/he will also offer a core course in one of these areas in the MA in American literature. The successful candidate will be required to supervise and mentor MA and PhD students and contribute to the research culture of the School, College and University. The lecturer will enhance the profile of the School through high-quality, high impact academic research.
Note: It is envisaged both appointments will commence 1 September 2015.
Lecturer (below the bar) Scale: €31,820 – €56,602 p.a.
