Invitation for BAAS Members: US Ambassador Speaks at the British Library

AMBASSADOR MATTHEW BARZUN, ‘MAGNA CARTA, 1776 AND ALL THAT’, MONDAY 11 MAY, BRITISH LIBRARY

The Eccles Centre for American Studies at the British Library is delighted to be hosting US Ambassador to the Court of St James, Matthew Barzun, as their 20th Annual DW Bryant lecturer.  Ambassador Barzun will be giving his lecture ‘Magna Carta, 1776 and All That’ at the British Library on 11 May. The lecture will take place 19:00-20:00 and will be preceded by a drinks reception at 18:15 in the British Library Conference Centre.

The organisers would like to offer BAAS members complimentary tickets for the lecture and reception that precedes it.  Please note, ticket numbers are limited and will be issued on a first come, first served basis.

If you are able to attend, please RSVP to eccles-centre@bl.uk, indicating the number of tickets required, as soon as possible.  For security reasons, we will need the names of all individual attendees by Thursday 30 April.
