‘Gender and History in the Americas’ seminar series (London)

October 5, 2015 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

5th October 2015    Faye Hammill (University of Strathclyde) “Magazines, gender, and hospitality in Canada and the US”

The ‘Gender and History in the Americas’ seminar series is held at the Institute for Historical Research, London, at 17.30 on the first Monday of the month.  The series offers a forum for speakers to present research investigating women’s and gender history from a hemispheric perspective that stretches from Canada to Argentina, Mexico to the Caribbean.  The convenors aim to offer a series in which new and cutting-edge ideas can be shared and discussed in an intellectual and supportive environment.  Subject to speaker consent, podcasts of the seminars are made available afterwards on the IHR’s History Spot page.

Unless otherwise stated, the seminars take place in Peter Marshall Room 204.
