The University of Lincoln is an ambitious institution becoming a top 50 University in 2012. Its strategy is to combine outstanding research with research-engaged teaching and learning. The University seeks to recruit a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in American Literature.
This post is located within the School of English and Journalism, as part of the College of Arts.
The continued success of the School will be driven by its academic community. In English, its high quality undergraduate programmes are evolving to enhance research-engaged education, and it has very successful masters-level programmes in English studies and Creative Writing. The School is ambitious to build on its achievements in the 2014 REF and its doctoral programme by raising the standard of research output, increasing the number of research-active staff and making explicit the impact of its research.
The programme also provides a variety of modules with a focus on American literature that are popular with students, as both core and optional elements of the programme. We are particularly keen to attract applications from those with an interest in twentieth-century and contemporary American literature, who will be able to contribute both to the undergraduate programme and also other aspects of our MA in 21st Century Literature.
Closing date: 13 June 2016
