We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager to join the U.S. Embassy London’s Cultural Affairs Office. This will be a fast paced and high pressure career opportunity where you will play an integral part in managing all aspects of public and cultural programs designed to improve the image of the U.S. in the U.K.

Creativity and meticulous planning are key attributes you will need to have to do the job. It is a role that will vary from day to day – from organizing academic conferences, exhibitions, performances, guest speaker events and receptions – to advising the Ambassador and senior officials on where the Embassy should be positioned in the U.K.’s cultural, political, economic and educational worlds. Are you fully au fait with U.K. and U.S. academic, political, business, social and cultural influencers? You will be called upon to utilize your professional contacts of key stakeholders within these sectors while at the same time cultivate new partnerships with U.K. Government ministers, well-known artists and senior academics.

Your portfolio is extensive and will also include taking charge of all administrative aspects of the position. You will manage information-gathering; draft and write program reports, action memos, briefing memos and advisory opinions for the Ambassador and other senior officials and advise contact organizations on developing funding requests which are targeted to meet Embassy goals.

This career opportunity promises to be varied and challenging. On occasion, we will require a flexible approach to working overtime outside of regular work hours (weekends, evenings and public holidays).
