Society for the History of Women in the Americas (SHAW) Writing Workshop
The Society for the History of Women in the Americas (SHAW) is hosting its second writing workshop for postgraduate students on Wednesday 23rd of April 2014 at The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities 1-6pm. The workshop is a forum for students to submit a piece of their writing (around 2,000 words in length) and receive feedback from fellow postgraduates and invited academics. The organisers hope to provide an informal environment in which postgrads can network and practice the defence of their thesis. The event will be free to attend and is open to postgraduate historians studying any aspect of the history of the Americas.
If you would be interested in attending, you would need to send your piece of writing to SHAW by the 9th of April. If you would like to know more, please contact Imaobong Umoren (University of Oxford) and Jon Coburn (Northumbria University) at shawwriting@gmail.com
