U.S. Studies Online #Bookhour chat: LET ME BE FRANK WITH YOU by Richard Ford, 9-10pm

December 29, 2014 @ 21:00 - 22:00

We are pleased to announce that following the success of our first #bookhour in November, we have decided to make #bookhour a recurring monthly feature on U.S. Studies Online!

#Bookhour is a real-time, online book group between scholars and the public.

Once a month U.S. Studies Online will host an hour-long book discussion on twitter based on a selected title. The discussion will be guided by questions submitted by scholars beforehand.

Our next #bookhour will be on Richard Ford’s Let Me Be Frank With You and it is scheduled to take place on Monday 29th December 2014, 9-10pm GMT. The novel is the fourth in Ford’s Frank Bascombe series but it can be read in isolation.

If you would like to suggest a question for the #BookHour on Let Me Be Frank With You please email usso@baas.ac.uk. Questions will be limited so if you want to submit a question, express interest as soon as you can!

We will publish the questions closer to the date.

ABOUT #BOOKHOUR

#Bookhour is an opportunity to share thoughts and reflections on the text in question and connect with other scholars and readers.

Everyone is welcome to join regardless of whether they are new or experienced readers and whatever their motivation for reading the text in question.

#BookHour is organised by @BAASUSSO but we also hope to feature several named scholars who specialise on the text or author in question. There will be specific topics for discussion but #bookhour is also an open forum to chat about all things lit in a supportive and friendly environment. If you submit a question for discussion your name will be identified unless specified.

A storify of each #bookhour conversation will also be put together following the discussion.
