U.S. Studies Online: Call for editors. As the terms of the current editorial board come to an end, several positions are opening up at the BAAS postgraduate and early career researcher blog U.S. Studies Online. U.S. Studies Online welcomes proactive individuals to join its editorial board as of April 2018. We invite applications from enthusiastic doctoral and early career researchers who are committed to developing U.S. Studies Online in its support of the American and Canadian Studies field. The positions available include Book Reviews Editor, Event Reviews Editor, Social Media Editor and European Relations Editor. The application deadline is 1st April 2018. BAAS Conference Organisation Support BAAS invites scholars in any field of American Studies to apply for funding to support the organization and running of conferences, colloquia, and/or conference-related activity. It is not meant to fund the applicant's attendance at a conference. BAAS has access to these funds through membership subscriptions, publications, and particular grants-in-aid from other sources. The Conferences Sub-Committee will prioritize applications that fund postgraduate attendance and that publicize BAAS, the Journal of American Studies, and U.S. Studies Online at the event. Please note that the Conferences fund is not primarily intended to defray costs for visiting speakers, catering, or publicity. BAAS is committed to promoting best practice in matters of equality and diversity and applicants are expected to demonstrate similar consideration when submitting bids to this scheme.
