PHD Studentship, Keele University

Keele University is pleased to announce an opportunity for an excellent student to join their vibrant PGR community starting January 2016

In the most recent Research Excellence Framework (REF2014) 94% of work in the Humanities at Keele was judged to be of at least international standard, with between 67% and 82% in the top two categories, denoting Internationally Excellent and World Leading research (3* and 4*).

They are offering a studentship in one of the following areas:
·        Music and Music Technology
·        Creative Writing
·        English and American Literature
·        European, British, Transnational and American History
·        Media, Communication and Cultural Studies
·        Film Studies

The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences is proud of its postgraduate research community, which they see as a vital part of the broader research culture within the University.  Their students enjoy high quality office space within a building dedicated to Humanities & Social Sciences research, the Claus Moser Research Centre, which brings together space for conferences and events, workshops, video conferencing, postgraduate research symposia, research projects, and a Faculty Research Office support team dedicated to making your experience at Keele run as smoothly as possible.

A full studentship includes an annual tax-free stipend at RCUK rate plus tuition fee, currently £14,057 stipend and £4,052 tuition fees.

The closing date for applications is Monday 4 January 2016.
Interviews will take place during the week of 25 January 2016.
