Lynne Olson explores how the United States forged its wartime alliance with Britain. Focusing on three key American players in London: journalist Edward R Murrow, businessman Averell Harriman and Ambassador John G Winant, Olson discusses the dramatic personal journeys of these men who helped convince a cautious President and reluctant American public to back the British at a critical time.
