The symposium Cultures of Threat: Imagining the End Times will be hosted by the Centre for American Studies and the School of English on 31^st Oct 2014 at the University of Sussex in Jubilee G30.

Concentrating on American culture, this event will investigate visions and intimations of The End in fiction, poetry, film, and information and conspiracy theory. Speakers include Clare Birchill (KCL),  David Watson (Uppsala), Nicholas Royle (Sussex) and faculty and doctoral students from across the CHASE consortium and beyond. All are welcome; entry is free.
