For the last episode of ‘Eyes on Events’ for the 2022-2023 academic year, we were delighted to sit down with Professor Bruce Schulman to discuss the Rothermere American Institute’s event ‘At the Junction: The Local, Regional, and National in US History’, held on May 18th and 19th 2023. Professor Schulman, this year’s Harold Vyvyan Harmsworth Professor of American History at Oxford University, provided us with fascinating insights from his celebrated work on American history and politics, discussing his year in Oxford and the very latest cutting-edge scholarship on federalism, the state, and the transnational turn in American Studies.
