Teaching the U.S. Civil Rights Movement in British Schools w/Andrew Fearnley

What don’t A-level courses on U.S. Civil Rights tell British students? After BLM, George Floyd and President Trump what should they tell? We sat down with Dr Andrew Fearnley (University of Manchester) to discuss all these questions following his co-produced pamphlet ‘New Approaches to US Civil Rights History’, co-funded by the US Embassy/ British Association of American Studies and the University of Manchester’s Social Responsibility funds.
