For this week’s episode of Eyes on Events we talked to Dr Oliver Gruner (University of Portsmouth) about an event he is organising from December 7th to December 9th 2022, ‘The Whole Earth: NASA’s Blue Marble Photograph Fifty Years On.’ We discussed the historical impact of images taken from space, how to foreground visual images in academic settings, and the benefits of working alongside filmmakers, photographers, and other visual arts practitioners.
