This week’s Eyes on Events sees the start of our new sub-series ‘Eyes on Exhibits‘, a special series in which we’ll be previewing exciting upcoming events from the world of arts and heritage. This is the first part of our two-part interview with Christopher Riopelle, Neil Weistreich curator of Post-1800 Paintings at the National Gallery in London. We discussed Winslow Homer: Force of Nature, an exhibition running at the National Gallery until January 8th, focusing on Homer’s career during the Civil War and his depictions of Black figures and women.
